Flail Mower 1.20 m

Flail mowers AF Wessex SERIES, here in a 1.2 m working width version, has been developed to meet the needs of contractors, farmers and estate owners.

They are ideal for controlling dense vegetation (i.e. brambles, ferns and tall grasses) and for the maintenance of forest and woodland areas.

The manual clutch and three toothed belts allow the AF Wessex flail mower to be operated in arduous conditions without the inherent problems of a centrifugal clutch.

Rear wheel option

Necessary if the machine has to mow near fences and other limitations. Also necessary when the overall width is too wide to fit in narrow areas.

The rear wheel option is only available on the 1.20 m version. In this configuration, the weight on the drawbar increases considerably. For this reason, it is imperative to check the towing capacity of the towing vehicle. When this option is fitted, a cylinder is associated with this machine to allow a simpler connection between the machine and the vehicle.

Four-wheel option

The AF-120 is also available with four wheels. This option is unique in that it allows mowing the width of the machine with minimal weight on the drawbar.

As the weight is distributed over all four wheels, the drawbar is floating and therefore no weight is transmitted to the hitch. The front wheels are fully swivel-mounted and thus reduce wheel seizure when turning.

Low pressure tire option

The version with two side wheels at 22 X 11-8 is also available. The low pressure tyres, combined with a quad or UTV, allow you to work where a tractor cannot pass.

• Throttle lever- Can be clipped to the luggage rack of an ATV.

• 2-cylinder engine - 2 V-cylinders with a power of 18 HP for the most demanding applications.

• Manual clutch - Efficient transmission without risk of overheating

• Anti-scalp rear roller - Eliminates scalping in difficult conditions and on undulating terrain.

• Y-shaped flails - Excellent mulching function when cutting long, dense vegetation.

• 3 Toothed belts - Guarantees an excellent transmission.

• Standard 16 X 8.50-8 tires - (low pressure tyres 22 x 11-8 optional)

• Rubber front flap - Eliminates projectiles thrown at the front of the machine.
